three dimensional Effects In Illustrator

Adobe Illustrator is made to allow both amateur photography enthusiasts and seasoned graphics designers to produce professional images with no photo-editing studio or any major equipment. Illustrator offers popping, saturation and color effects present in traditional photo-editing programs, featuring several three dimensional add-ons and effects.

Layers

Create layers for the project by choosing Layers in the Home windows tab within the menu bar. Layers allow customers to mix multiple images or cut images out and apply separate effects, leading to these to appear more forward compared to background. Furthermore, several layers may be used to produce a three dimensional on three dimensional effect (this effect can be used frequently on movie posters, Compact disc covers as well as purchase graphics). Fine-tune the pictures in every layer until they suit your visual preferences, then choose Layers in the menu bar and drag lower to Merge Layers.

Displacement Map

Whether utilizing a composition of multiple images or utilizing a single image, a displacement or bump map is an extremely realistic method to create three dimensional images. A displacement map functions like a frame which to superimpose a picture. This effect gives the look of the flag waving or sea waves moving. Produce a displacement map using a picture from the texture you are attempting to imitate (silk or wood etc.) then click Image within the menu bar, drag lower to Mode and choose Grayscale. Choose Flatten in the pop-up menu. Save the file like a displacement map. Once saved, open the displacement map and impose your image within the displacement map to make the effect complete.

Lighting

For single-layer projects, lights are a vital to creating an item appear three dimensional. The sunlight in Illustrator could be altered within the primary Filter menu by choosing Render, then Lighting. This effect enables customers to alter the position where a task is lit. On textured images and pictures designed to use a displacement map, lighting may be used to stress bumps during composite images, lighting may be used on each layer to intensify a feeling of distance between figures as well as their skills.

50s Theme Birthday Ideas

Dance the night away.

Throw a birthday bash that rockets your guests back in time. Hosting a successful 50's party takes more than some golden oldies on the jukebox---though that will set the mood. Recreate the 1950's with theme-appropriate décor, food and atmosphere that will have everyone talking. Encourage your guests to dress their 50's best for the party.

Decorations

Choose colors that bring the era to mind. Teal, black and pink streamers and balloons will set the mood. Hang old records---make sure they aren't valuable---with string from the ceiling or mount them on the walls. Purchase metal advertising signs with a 50's feel from home stores or make your own with a photocopier and heavy paper.

Make cool record bowls from scratched and damaged records. Place a metal mixing bowl upside down on a cookie sheet. Set the record on top of the upside-down bowl. Place the cookie sheet, bowl and record into a preheated 200-degree oven. Bake for eight to 10 minutes. Put on pot holders and remove from oven. Pick up the record and flip the bowl over. Place the record inside the bowl and gently push it in so it molds to the shape. It will have a ruffled edge. Use your bowl for chips and other foods on your buffet table.

50's Diner

Turn your home into a retro diner. Place red and white checked tablecloths on the tables. Use stainless steel napkin holders and salt shakers as centerpieces. Hang a large banner on the door with the name of the diner. Think 50's when naming it; "Big Joe's" or "Frank's Diner" have a nice ring. Use the birthday person's name in the diner name.

Serve miniature hamburgers on bright teal plastic trays. Stick a frilled toothpick in each one to complete the look. Serve up milkshakes in oversize milkshake cups or stainless steel cups. Add large straws and a cherry on top. Instead of ice cream, serve root beer floats or chocolate malts.

Serve a hamburger cake decked with striped birthday candles. Make a two-layer round cake. Frost the bottom and top thirds to look like a bun. Stripe black, green and red frosting around the center to resemble the patty, lettuce and tomato. Sprinkle yellow or white candy jimmies on top as sesame seeds.

Sock Hop

Kids will be excited to attend a real 50's sock hop. Hang plenty of holiday lights around the room for ambiance and throw some Elvis or Buddy Holy on the jukebox.

Encourage the girls to wear skirts and the boys to wear jeans. Make small poodles out of felt and pin them to the girl's skirts so they can have their very own poodle skirt. Give the boys black combs just like the boys in the 50's always carried. Encourage everyone to kick off their shoes and dance away. Give out silly printed socks as favors to help encourage everybody.

Serve plenty of finger foods such as sandwiches, vegetables and dip. Make a record cake for the birthday celebration. Frost a round two-layer cake in black icing. Use a light color for the center label of the record. Instead of an album or artist's name on the label, write out the birthday person's name.

Food Chains For Kids

Parents always are looking for things to keep their children entertained. While amusing them with food shouldn't always be the solution, it is a good way for parents to bond with their children while having fun or to keep their kids and their friends happy.

McDonald's

Probably one of the most affordable and popular choices is one of America's oldest fast food chains, McDonald's. Although not the healthiest option, McDonald's is affordable for families and large groups and usually includes an inside or outside playground.

Chuck E. Cheese

One of the loudest choices is Chuck E. Cheese, known for its pizza, large game center and live entertainment. Children also might get a special musical performance from Chuck E. Cheese and his friends.

Red Robin

For creative kids, Red Robin is a good choice, especially for those who like to try new foods and create concoctions. It offers a variety of burger options, a Kids Club sign up and special birthday offers.

Friendly's

Parents who take their children to Friendly's need to be ready for dessert. Offering breakfast and typical lunch and dinner meals like hamburgers and chicken, children most enjoy the create-your-own sundaes.

Chick-fil-A

One of the South's favorite fast-food chains is Chick-fil-A, best known for its fried chicken and sweet tea. An affordable choice, it boasts healthy food options, a play area for young kids and sometimes a visit from the famous cow.

Johnny Rockets

Kids who go to Johnny Rockets weren't even around in the 1950s and '60s, the time period in which the diner is set, but it makes for a new experience. While enjoying a hamburger and milk shake, kids get the opportunity to experience musical oldies from a tabletop jukebox and an historic American atmosphere.

Plug Your Ipod Shuffle Into Speakers

Although iPods are at the forefront of personal audio and entertainment, if you want to share the music in your iPod with others, you will have to look for a third-party solution. iPod shuffles do not have external speakers, so you will have to connect the iPod to external speakers. Fortunately, hooking up an iPod Shuffle to speakers is fairly simple.

Finding a Connector Cable

The most important component of the connection between your iPod Shuffle and your computer will be the connecting cable. All iPod shuffle models use a standard 3.5mm output jack, so a male to male audio cable will work perfectly. Though several different "grades" of cable are available, they all deliver the same quality sound, so don't be tempted to purchase "higher grade" cables, because they are unnecessary.

Suitable Speakers

The iPod shuffle will work with any auxiliary speakers that accept 3.5 inputs. This includes any size from small electronics speakers to large concert-quality speakers. However, the bigger the speaker, the louder the input needs to be, so if you are planning to really blast your iPod shuffle, you may need to enhance the audio with an audio editing tool before playing it back.

All-In-One Options

There are specially created iPod speakers that work with iPod shuffles, but if you decide to choose one of these options, be careful! There have been five different iterations of the Shuffle thus far, and each one has a different style of data jack. So if you do decide to purchase one of these, be sure to double check that it is compatible with your version of the iPod jack.
