Hide Screws Around The Bathtub

Use one of several ways to hide screws around the bathtub.

Bathrooms are one of the most used rooms in your home. When you have an otherwise flawless bathroom, seeing exposed screw heads around your bathtub can be an eyesore. Because of the fact the screws are likely providing a valuable function, such as holding bathroom components together, removing them may not be an option. Instead, you can hide the screws around your bathtub using a number of potential methods.

Instructions

1. Cover the screw heads with dots of silicone caulk. This type of caulk is waterproof and appropriate for use around the bathtub and other areas prone to moisture. Select a caulk that's close in color to the object which holds the screw, as you cannot paint silicone caulk.

2. Install snap-on caps over the screw heads. These caps come in sizes and colors to match all types of screw heads. Simply press over the head and the screw holds it in place.

3. Paint the screw heads using a fine-tipped brush and color that matches the surrounding object for camouflage.

4. Coat the screw head with wood putty, if installed in wood. Cover it with a layer, making it as flush with the wood as possible. Sand it down to the level of the wood once dry and paint over to complete the hiding.

5. Cover the screw heads with a small piece of duct tape and paint for a low-cost quick fix for hiding the screws around the bathtub.
