Decorating a small bathroom does not have to be as overwhelming of a project as it seems. Finding ways to fit everything in that you need can be difficult but not impossible. The challenge comes in making the finished room seem cozy, not cluttered, while still reflecting your personal style and tastes.
Instructions
1. Go through everything that you have, including hygiene and beauty supplies, health products and towels. When figuring out decorate small-spaced bathrooms, getting rid of what you do not use and need is a must. The easiest way to do this is to sort everything into three containers. One box with things that need space in the room, because they are used frequently; one with items that can be moved and stored elsewhere, because they are only used sometimes; and finally, a garbage bag and/or donation box for products that are never used or have expired.
2. Figure out storage options for the space. There are many options available from small over-the-toilet cabinets if you want everything hidden behind closed doors to shelving where you use all of your more attractive products as decoration. 3. Choose your colors and/or theme. If you already have a decorating style in mind, it's time to go shopping. If not, browsing through home stores and online resources can give you the inspirational ideas that you need. When figuring out decorate small-spaced bathrooms, the standard items that you need will be towel and toilet paper holders, soap dispenser or dish, shower curtain and hooks (unless you have shower doors), and bathmat or rug. Other items, such as cup and toothbrush holders and toilet seat covers, can also be bought; depending on your personal style.
4. Bring in the accessories. Look for items that will add your individual personality to the space. This includes any storage containers that were discussed earlier, knickknacks and artwork. When decorating a small bathroom, less is more, so choose your decor touches wisely. For your artwork, try either one larger piece that fits in with your other decor or one smaller grouping, and place it on your largest empty wall. Though decorative mirrors are always a good option in smaller rooms, when figuring out decorate small-spaced bathrooms, the placement of mirrors has to be considered thoroughly because of the personal nature of the activities in the space.
5. Once you get all of your decorating items ready, put them all in the space. If you bought extra decorative pieces to have a few options in the room, it's time to start seeing how they look and editing out anything that makes the bathroom look cluttered or messy. If a piece is just too large but you love it, you can always ask the store about the possibility of ordering it in a smaller scale.
