Installing your video projector into your home theater or media center PC setup is just like installing any other component, like a receiver or DVD player, and only requires a couple of cables available at most computer stores. Enjoy big screen media with the sharpness and clarity of digital video, when you install a video projector in your home theater or media center PC setup
Instructions
Installation
1. Turn off your computer's monitor. Turn the monitor around and disconnect the VGA cable from the back of it--unscrew the built-in screws on both sides of the tip of the cable.
2. Insert the disconnected VGA cable end into the VGA port on the back of your video projector--secure the cable into the port by tightening the built-in screws.
3. Place the projector in a well ventilated area--away from other electronics that generate their own heat and clear of any immediate obstructions on both sides of the projector.
4. Connect the power cable to the projector and then plug the projector into a power outlet.
5. Turn the projector on. Allow it a few seconds to boot up and sync with your computer's VGA input.
Connecting to a Cable Box or DVD Player
6. Set up the projector in a well ventilated area near your DVD player or cable box.
7. Run a composite from the yellow composite port on the back of the projector to the yellow composite port under the heading "Video Out" on the back of your cable box or DVD player.
8. For high-definition video, run a component video cable from the projector to the cable box or DVD player. Match the red, green and blue (rgb) end of one side of the cable to the rbg ports on the back of your projector--match the other rgb cable ends to the rgb ports under the heading "Video Out" on the back of your DVD player or cable box.
9. Connect the power cable to the projector, plug the projector into a power outlet and then turn it on.
