Halogen lights are usually installed as vanity lights.
A halogen light is a different type of incandescent bulb invented to take care of the short life spans that a regular incandescent bulb has. The best use for this type of light is on a mirror for vanity lighting. This is simply because halogen lights are crisper and make your skin appear more like its actual colors -- ideal when applying makeup.
Instructions
1. Inspect the existing wires that come out of the electrical box and cut any ends that are tarnished or nicked with a wire cutter. Strip the bottom 1/2-inch portion of the insulation off with a wire stripper.
2. Attach the fixture's wires (using the nuts provided) with the circuit wires, following the manufacturer's instructions.
3. Hook up the ground wire as instructed on the specific manufacturer's instructions. The typical method for many lights is to connect the mounting strap to the ground wire.
4. Mount the fixture to the wall, tightening the screws enough to secure the fixture, but not too tight to damage the diffuser.
5. Screw in the halogen light bulb, ensuring that the bulbs do not exceed the recommended watt usage for the fixture. The maximum allowable amount of wattage for the fixture is listed on the specifications
