Design A Virtual Bathroom Online

Designing a bathroom online allows you to experiment freely.

Having the bathroom that you've always dreamed of is truly a gift. Since the bathroom is where most people start and prepare themselves for their day, there's no reason why it shouldn't be the most ideal space for you. However, designing your bathroom can be an entirely daunting task. Fortunately, room design software can help you explore all the options of designing your bathroom online so that when you do finally make decisions in real life, you feel completely comfortable with them.

Instructions

Armstrong

1. Visit the Armstrong site (see Resources). Go to the page labeled "Design a Room." Click on "Bathroom." Select the style you like, choosing from traditional, casual, contemporary, classic and European country.

2. Experiment with different wall, floor and cabinet colors by clicking on various options. Try a range of combinations until you find the design you like best.

3. Click on the tab at the bottom of the page that says "Save Project" if you're satisfied with your work.

Bathroom Guides Planner

4. Visit the Bathroom Guides Planner site (see Resources). Select the shape of your bathroom. Type in the dimensions. Click on the "Create Room" tab at the bottom of the page.

5. Click on the windows tab on the following page to add windows to the room. Type in the size of the windows you'd like and drag them to the area of the room where you'd like them to be. Select a lefthand or righthand swinging door and drag it to the area of your room where you want it.

6. Click on the tab that says "Internal walls" if you'd like an internal wall and determine how big you want the wall to be. Drag it to the appropriate area. Scan through the menu of possible basins, toilets and lights, selecting items you think would be right for your bathroom and dragging them to the appropriate spot on the floor plan.

7. Continue to experiment until you find the layout you like best. Click "save" at the bottom of the page when you're satisfied.
