Change Out Recessed Lighting In A Bathroom

Recessed lighting in a bathroom makes use of space well. Recessed lighting is built into the ceiling rather than on the surface of it, fully exposed. The bulbs in recessed lighting, like any light bulbs, don't last forever and will burn out at some point. Purchase new bulbs and change out burned-out recessed light bulbs in your bathroom with little effort.

Instructions

1. Turn off the circuit breaker that supplies power to the bathroom light.

2. Wait five to 10 minutes until the lighting fixture is cool to prevent burning yourself from touching the bulb.

3. Remove the cover of the lighting fixture to expose the bulb. Some fixtures have clips supporting the bulb. Push the clips to release the cover. Other light fixtures are held in place with screws. Remove the screws to access the bulb.

4. Unscrew the old bulb by turning counterclockwise.

5. Screw the new bulb in by turning clockwise.

6. Screw or push the cover of the light back on.

7. Turn the power back on and test your light.
