Glue Crown Molding On Cabinet Corners

Crown molding trim can dress up a simple set of cabinets. Installing the trim requires you to cut the crown molding correctly to size and with the correct angles, so that the trim properly encases the corner of the cabinet. When installing the cabinet trim, wood glue can be used to mount the trim.

Instructions

1. Spread an even layer of wood glue on the backside of your first piece of crown molding. Apply a bead of glue on the cabinet where the crown molding will be placed.

2. Position your first piece of crown molding onto the cabinet. Hold it securely in place for two to three minutes, until the glue begins to set. Have a helper place strips of painter's tape onto the crown molding and cabinet to hold the crown molding in place.

3. Allow the glue for the crown molding to set for one hour. Place glue on the second piece of crown molding and position it on the other angle of the corner. Tape the second piece in place and let the glue for both pieces of crown molding dry for several hours before removing the tape.
