Gold taps add a rich air to a gold-painted bathroom.
Gold-painted walls in your bathroom can occasionally present you with a decorating challenge, but if the room already has white tile on the floors and white cabinets, you have the start to a bathroom with a regal appearance. You can add a variety of decorative and functional accents to complete the look. Opt for decorations that are the same shades of gold and white otherwise the room may look cheap instead of sophisticated.
Instructions
1. Place one or more tall gold vases on the floor with light-colored artificial or dried grasses in them. Pick vases that most closely resemble the gold used in the bathroom's wall paint. An ideal artificial plant to add to the vases is a white-colored, silver dollar-style plant. These plants have small circular leaves and are small enough that they won't clutter the space.
2. Hang a piece of art on the wall that complements the gold and white theme of the bathroom. The frame can be made of wood or metal and can be finished in gold or white. The image in the art can vary according to your interests, but should contain some gold and white elements. Golden sunflowers, for example, may match the gold in your walls.
3. Attach brass-colored towel rods and hooks to the walls and hang white bath towels from them. If desired, get your white bath towels monogrammed with your initials in shiny gold thread.
4. Select a third color that you can use to accent the gold and white theme of the bathroom. Everything in the room shouldn't be either gold or white. Some shades of blue, for example, work well with gold, as does silver. The accent color can come through in a floor mat, tooth brush holder, tissue box cover or shower curtain.
