Rotate Conduit Clamps

Rotating conduit clamps allows you to move the conduit.

Conduit prevents your family from being electrocuted by protecting exposed wires from mechanical damage and keeping your children's hands away from the wires. It is the thin metal or plastic pipe through which electrical wires run. Local building codes require the use of conduit any time wires are exposed on walls or on the exterior of the home. The conduit is supported against the wall with clamps. If you need to move or rotate a clamp, you first need to remove its supporting screws.

Instructions

1. Locate the clamps you wish to move on the exterior of the home.

2. Loosen the screws or bolts that secure the clamps to the building, using a screwdriver or wrench. You don't need to remove the screw completely to rotate the clamp.

3. Rotate the clamp in the appropriate direction. To refasten, rotate the clamp back and reinstall the mounting hardware.
