When a dishwasher is installed in a kitchen, there are usually gaps between the appliance and the side of the cabinets. A trim kit hides the gaps to integrate the dishwasher into the kitchen. Even if there are wood panels around your GE Profile dishwasher, a trim kit can still be installed since it's mounted over the gaps and not over the actual paneling in your kitchen.
Instructions
1. Open the dishwasher door. Hold the trim up to the sides of the dishwasher to determine how long they need to be. If the trim is too long, cut it to size with a utility knife.
2. Locate the ridge on each side of the dishwasher. Slip the trim into the ridge on the side of the dishwasher. Repeat for the other side.
3. Find the ridge on top of the dishwasher. Measure the trim so it's the same width as the top of the dishwasher and cut it to size if necessary. Slip the top trim into the ridge on top of the dishwasher.
