Transponder keys have become a popular technology on cars all around the world. These keys are used to electronically sync to your engine, and once programmed, only a transponder key can be used to start your car. You can replace a lost or disabled transponder key yourself in just a few minutes by reprogramming it. The programming sequence is completed from the driver's seat and will have your remote ready to use right away.
Instructions
1. Acquire a new cut key from the dealership or from the installer of your transponder transmitter system and have two previously programmed keys ready.
2. Insert the first programmed key into your car's ignition and turn it to the On position.
3. Turn the key back Off and insert the second programmed key within five seconds.
4. Turn this second key On and the back Off and remove the key from the ignition.
5. Insert the new key within ten seconds, turn it On for one second and then cycle it back Off.
6. Wait for the security light to turn on within the car, wait for the light to stay on for three seconds and remove your key from the ignition to complete the process and have your replacement key ready to use.
