The GE Triton XL is a dishwasher with a full-length flat door, two folding down tines in the lower rack, soil sensor, oversized tub with nylon racks, quiet motor and extra insulation, three direct-feed wash arms and a filtration system. While it may not seem self-evident that a dishwasher needs to be cleaned occasionally, odors and stains can occur over time inside the tub and will require some extra steps to clean it.
Instructions
1. Remove all dishes and utensils from the GE Triton dishwasher.
2. Close the dishwasher door. Do not add detergent. Choose the Pots Pans cycle and allow the cycle to run for approximately 20 minutes.
3. Open the dishwasher door and pour 2 cups of distilled white vinegar directly into the bottom of the dishwasher tub.
4. Close the dishwasher door and let the cycle finish.
5. Repeat the above steps with ¼ cup citric acid crystals instead of vinegar if the vinegar does not completely clean the dishwasher.
