Programming Instructions For Keyless Entry Remote Key Fobs

Keyless entry remotes can be equipped to most vehicles

Keyless entry remotes, also known as key fobs, are popular on cars across the United States and the world. These systems are programmed to your car by a dealership or an automotive shop, then are synchronized to multiple remotes to allow you access to your vehicle. While programming the transmitter requires professional experience, setting up the remotes can be done by nearly anyone, as long as you have a few minutes and the car's ignition key.

Instructions

1. Close the doors on the car and insert your key into the ignition.

2. Hold your locking tab on the driver's door in the Unlock position and cycle the ignition On and then Off twice in quick succession.

3. Release the Unlock tab, wait for the door locks to sound and then hold the two buttons on your remote until the locks sound to indicate the programming sequence is completed and successful.
