Adjust Vertical Blinds To Close Completely

Vertical blinds are available in different lengths, textures and colors.

No matter the time of day, vertical blinds allow for darkness and privacy with a simple closing technique. Vertical blinds are made of vanes that connect to clips which move along a track installed between brackets mounted underneath a valance. The clips and track allow the blinds to move from side-to-side, and to face at different angles for more or less light. The vertical blinds close when the blinds fan out flat across the length of the window. Blinds come with a wand that turns to open and shutter the blinds, or with a pulley system that uses a traverse cord.

Instructions

1. Turn the wand counter-clockwise or pull the traverse cord down to open the blinds. This allows the vertical blinds to stack flat against each other.

2. Stand in the direction opposite the bulk of the stacked blinds. Pull the wand toward you to cover the window with the blinds.

3. Rotate the wand clockwise until it can't tighten any further or pull the traverse cord down to to close the blinds all the way. The blinds will close in an unstacked and flat position, slightly overlapping each other.
