Braiding is a great technique to keep you hair out of your face and tight against your head on your wedding day There are many different ways of braiding your hair--French braids, simple braids and braids to frame your face. The possibilities are endless. Once you get the simple technique down, it can be applied to find the perfect wedding day look for you. Instructions
One Braid
1. Give yourself a French braid. Start at your hairline and lift a section of hair at the top. Divide this section into three pieces.
2. Cross the right piece over the center piece. Then cross the left piece over the center. The whole time, keep a firm, tight grip on the pieces.
3. Go back to the right section with grasping a equally sized piece from the side of your head. Cross that over the center piece again. Repeat the same for the left side.
4. Continue these steps until the desired braid length is achieved, then tie off the end with a hairband.
Many Small Braids
5. Use several small braids as accent pieces. Select a small section of hair that frames your face and braid it.
6. Lift that section of hair and divide into three pieces. Cross the right piece over the center piece, then the left piece over the center piece.
7. Repeat the process until the braid is long enough. You can use several of these small braids to frame your face or create texture in your hairstyle.
Braiding a Ponytail
8. Pull your hair back in the ponytail height of your liking. Secure with a rubber band.
9. Divide your ponytail into three pieces and braid using the right over center then left over center technique.
10. Secure the bottom of the braid with another rubber band. You can use jewels, beads or barrettes to spruce up the rubber bands.
Tips Warnings
Choose your veil or other headpiece before selecting the appropriate braid for your wedding day. You can adapt your hair to the veil, but not necessarily the veil to your hair.
