Party Favor Ideas For A 60th Birthday

Celebrate youth and life with a 60th birthday bash that family and friends won't soon forget. Turning 60 isn't what it was in the past. Many people in their 60s continue to work and play as hard as they did in their 20s and 30s. When you throw a 60th birthday bash, your party favors should match the birthday boy's youthful appearance, hobbies, passions and interests. Party favors can range from hard to find vintage candy to hilarious Sexy 60 items. For most people, celebrating 60 these days means the best in life is yet to come.

Sexy 60

Most people don't feel their age, so celebrate the birthday girl's youth with Sexy 60 party favors. Stuff goodie bags with sexy but tasteful items that will elicit giggles from guests. Look for items such as pink furry picture frames, funny pens or pencils, adult chocolates or candy and a sleep mask. Add tasteful adult gag gifts.

Create Sexy 60 coffee mugs or shot glasses to accompany your bag or stuff the mugs with adult candy or chocolate. Purchase a mass quantity of mugs or shot glasses from a ceramic warehouse or craft store. Use textile paint for ceramics to paint Sexy 60 on each mug or shot glass. There are also options online for personalization. Choose your item and upload your photo or logo.

Retro Goodie Bag

If you can find the sweets he used to enjoy when he was young, purchase candy and treats from the good old days to assemble the goodie bags. Online retailers and candy manufacturers typically carry vintage candy that dates back to the 1920s. Of course, the candy is still being manufactured today, but on a smaller scale, so you may need to pay a little more for the loot.

If your budget allows, in addition to the goodie bags, serve this vintage candy at the party.

Commemorative DVD

Create a special DVD for guests to take home that features the birthday girl through the years. Gather snapshots that include the birthday girl with friends who will attend the party, so ask the party guests ahead of time for these pictures. Allow friends and family at least a month to search for old photos, then follow up with an e-mail, phone call or personal visit with each person two weeks before the party to collect your stash.

Scan the photos into your computer and create the DVD using computer software. Don't forget about the soundtrack. Weave in the birthday girl's favorite songs from when she was little up until today as the backdrop for the slideshow.

Play the DVD at the party. Design each DVD jewel case with a title marking the 60th birthday.
